About this deal

Another difference is in the travelling case, whereby the Pro 2 2500 comes with a case that can hold a brush handle and 2 brush heads whilst the pro 600 does not include a case. As far as cleaning modes go, both brushes offer exactly the same cleaning mode, that is the ‘Daily Clean’ mode which is found on every Oral-B brush.

Moreover, there is also a difference in how the brush alerts you when you brush hard. Whereas the Oral B Pro 2 2500 uses a visible pressure sensor that flashes red to alert you, the pro 600, on the other hand, just slows down the brush speed in case of brushing hard. There is a single button on the front of the brush handle, that stands out because it is white in colour.

You will see that the more feature-rich, and typically more expensive models are shown on the right, compared to the more cost effective models on the left. To charge the brush, pop it on the stand and leave it typically 8-12 hours for a full charge. The brush can be left on the charger even if the battery is not depleted, it will not do any damage; although it is recommended to discharge the battery fully every 6 months. The Smart 6’s brush head holder is a moulded piece of plastic that clips around the charging stand and offers up 2 prongs. The brush heads then sit on these. It keeps them upright and they do not touch, but they are not covered like they are with the compartment with the 9000, which can accommodate up to 4 brush heads. There is also a difference in battery life whereas the Pro 3 3000 CrossAction Electric Rechargeable Toothbrush battery lasts up to 2 weeks when fully charged, the pro 600 stay up to 7 days only.

Pro 3 3000 like the pro 2 2500 uses a visible pressure sensor to alert you when brushing hard but, the pro 600 only slows down the brush head in case of brushing hard. You get the standard features like the 2 minute timer, 30 second pacer, rechargeable battery and fading indicator bristles on the brush head.

Additional modes are by no means essential. But, if I were to demand any additional mode it would be a lower powered sensitive cleaning mode that the likes of the Oral-B Pro 3 3500 has. For your own benefit, do try and perfect your technique so you remove as much plaque as possible. We show you how in our article, how to clean your teeth properly. Given that this icon only lights up when the mode is selected, it is hard to tell, but the Genius 9000 does offer a Tongue Cleaning mode that the Smart 6 does not.

Apart from the differences: they both come with a built-in timer with a pacer, 2 pin UK plug, 2 years warranty, 3D cleaning action and both come in blue colour only. Similar Posts: Both come with one small round brush head that employs 3D cleaning action to remove more dental plaque than the manual toothbrush Using for longer than 3 months can potentially result in the head not cleaning as well and even doing damage to the teeth and gums. This is a form factor that exists on all the Pro series brushes. The handles get a little larger with the more capable Genius series. Another slight difference is the 9000’s lovely travel case has a clip built into the lid that holds a smartphone, for using the app when travelling. Smaller and less unsightly, it is designed to sit on a worktop rather than adhere to a wall or mirror. You just need to pop your phone in it, which takes a couple of seconds compared to the tens of seconds with the Genius brush configuration. You phone then sits in portrait or landscape orientation and shows the on-screen timer.
